Kobi Levi’s ‘Market Trolley’ shoes, in tartan
Bizarre high heel shoes by artist Kobi Levi, Tel Aviv, Israel – Sep 2010
These kooky shoes are part of an incredible new collection of extraordinary footwear. The bizarre creations, which look like everything from bananas and shopping baskets to dogs, may look more like delicate pieces of art but each are made to be worn. Creator Kobi Levi can spend weeks making each pair by hand from materials like leather, rubber, wood and metal. The 35-year-old, who lives in Tel Aviv, Israel, describes his fascinating creations as ‘wearable sculptures.’ He said: “It is important to me that they will be real shoes and not sculptures or toys.
