Portfolio
Here’s a sampling of work I’ve done for various media outlets (full reviews and clips to be uploaded soon).
Technology
I have previously been Staff Writer for Stuff Magazine, and covered a variety of topics for them. I’ve written in depth reviews, design features, and also looked after the Top Ten Blu-ray page and the Gadget Doctor page (letters page). On top of this I also co-ordinated the fashion pages every month. Cuttings to be uploaded shortly.
I used to edit the technology site Shiny Shiny and you can check out features I’ve written for Shiny Shiny here. I’ve covered a selection of technology product reviews, web news, videos demonstrations, and how to guides in all matters of tech, hardware and online media.
I also contribute to BBC Technology Online, regularly appear on SKY News as a technology correspondent, and have previously written for T3.com, Stylist Magazine, Latest Gadgets, the now defunct Gadget Candy, and Men’s Health Magazine.
Beauty/Fashion
I was previously editor of top UK Beauty site Kiss and Makeup, and still contribute to it. Check out some notable features from Kiss and Makeup here. They include a run down of my most visited posts, how-to beauty guides and catwalk critiques.
I’ve previously been Acting Beauty Co-ordinator for SHE Magazine, and helped style the beauty pages in their GOLD issue, as well as assisted on shoots for their makeover pages.
I’ve also written for top fashion blogs Catwalk Queen, Shoewawa and The Baglady, regarding the latest trends and accessories of the season, and have undertaken the great clothes swap challenge (all in the name of work). See some fashion focused stories here.
Lifestyle/Entertainment
I’ve written for a number of publications in this sector. I write regular theatre reviews for the Epoch Times UK, and regularly contribute to LeCool, a weekly e-zine. Click here to see some of my work at LeCool.
I’ve written games features for The London Paper, entertainment information for London Splash, and my credits in this field include View London, Tillate, Itchy City, Star Trip and Reveal Magazine.
Careers
I previously worked at Real World Magazine where I wrote about how to break into the media, and what skills graduates should acquire to help them get ahead. How do they find the hidden job market without a Cambridge degree? Here are my tips on how they can achieve their perfect position.
Women’s Issues
I’ve written columns and features for Dollymix, the UK site for women who want to be informed as well as entertained.
